When submitting templates, please keep the following in mind to ensure your submission is approved swiftly:
-
Export an .xml file from your wiki via [[Special:Export]] and upload that here as the template download. Make sure that "Include only the current revision, not the full history" and "Save as file" are checked. Before checking "Include templates", it may be helpful to identify what templates this template depends on. If the list is more than 4-5 templates, consider refactoring your template into one with less dependencies before exporting.
-
The .xml file must be 1MB or smaller.
-
If your template depends on extensions other than ParserFunctions or Scribunto, mention which extensions are required in the description. You may assume that the end user has ParserFunctions and Scribunto installed and therefore do not need to explicitly list those as requirements.
-
If you do not specify a license for the template in the submission, you agree to release the content of all exported pages under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 license and any later version.
-
It is recommended you upload screenshots of the template in action on your wiki so users can get a better idea of what it does and how it looks. Screenshots are limited to 1.5MB and 800x800 pixels, so crop and resize them as necessary.
-
Add a couple of tags to help users find your template.
