mediawiki broke after Debian 12 upgrade

My Mediawiki was working fine under Debain 11, but after upgrading to Debian 12

now I see for Main Page: There is currently no text in this page? Any clues?

Anything in the error logs? Try enabling some debug options, such as adding the below to LocalSettings.php:

error_reporting( -1 );
ini_set( 'display_errors', 1 );
$wgShowExceptionDetails = true;

I had the same problem. The solution was to change to

/usr/share/mediawiki/maintenance

and call

php runScript.php update.php

Then the wiki worked again after the upgrade from Debian 11 to Debian 12.
